Be-Cause!

1 Sam 17:28-29

28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
29 And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

A car traveling on a highway without insurance is dangerous to an oncoming vehicle because the potential of an accident. Most insurance company now have uninsured motorist policies to protect their clients.
Each day we enter the environments of people who spirit have not experienced the presence of God. Like, a car traveling without insurance is dangerous; the influence of those who are not in relationship with Jesus can be overwhelming.

David in the bible entered a similar environment when he brought parched corn to his brothers who was in battle against the Philistine’s. David’s initial assignment was the delivery of the parched corn but his relationship with the God of Israel propelled him into the oncoming traffic of the Philistine giant.

David heard the Philistine giant defiance of God and responded “What will be given if this giant is taken down?” His brothers attempted to silence him but he responded to them “Is there not a cause?” David expressed concern for his brothers and Israel for not responding. If you allow me to paraphrase his statement for today’s climate; David was saying “are you going to allow this environment to silence the presence of God’s voice in your spirit?”

Each day the battle between Israel and the Philistines was placed into “array”. Array was the strategic plan of victory for each army. The Philistine giant mocked the array of Israel. He said why do you place your battle into array? He was saying to Israel you have no strategy to defeat me. David had the anointing on him and the Spirit of the Lord gave David the strategy to defeat the giant. Therefore David entered the battle knowing that the Philistine giant did not know God and had not experienced the presence of God. David insurance was his relationship with God and through faith in God he nailed the strategy; he placed the stone in center of the head of the giant.

There is a cause and you must understand that even though our present environment is dangerous; you enter the highway of life with the presence of God. God’s presence will give you the strategy to win the battle.
